Objective

The student knows basic information about urban cultivation and self-sufficiency cultivating on a balcony or on a terrace. The student is able to utilize growing boxes for the cultivation of different plants and knows technical solutions for cultivation, irrigation and fertilization. The student is able to utilize various technical solutions for annual and perennial plants and is able to choose the right structural solutions for the plants.

The student knows the basics of self-sufficiency farming and defines the possibilities of balcony and terrace cultivation. The student explains the technical solutions for balcony and terrace cultivation and lists the factors affecting the quantity and quality of the crop.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student determines the basics of self-sufficiency farming and cultivation on terraces and balconies and compares their cultivation possibilities. The student summarizes the techniques of terrace and balcony cultivation and assesses the factors affecting the quantity and quality of the crop.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student justifies self-sufficiency farming and analyzes and draws conclusions about the possibilities of terrace and balcony cultivation. The student is interested in studying the cultivation techniques of balcony and terrace cultivation and compares them with each other. The student analyzes the factors affecting the quantity and quality of the crop.
