Objective

The student can:

- explain the operating principles of the Finnish social, health, and rehabilitation service system and the legislation, programs and future challenges that guide them.
- explain the importance of the laws, regulations and ethical principles that guide the physiotherapist's work in client/patient work.
- explain the basic concepts of rehabilitation and the role of the physiotherapist in multiprofessional workgroups
- recognize the historical development of the physiotherapist profession and education
- explain the Finnish rehabilitation service system and finds solutions to guide the patient/client in the use of rehabilitation services.

- Laws, regulations and programs governing social and health care in Finland
- Laws, regulations and ethical principles governing the work of a physiotherapist
- Basics of rehabilitation and physiotherapy in the rehabilitation process
- History of rehabilitation and physiotherapy
- Clarifying the role of the rehabilitee the multiprofessional rehabilitation service system

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student

- mechanically and superficially explains the operating principles of the Finnish social, health, and rehabilitation service system and the legislation, programs and future challenges that guide them.
- cannot logically explain the importance of the laws, regulations and ethical principles that guide the physiotherapist's work in client/patient work.
- poorly explains the basic concepts of rehabilitation and the role of a physiotherapist in multi-professional workgroups
- insufficiently recognizes the historical development of the physiotherapist's profession and education
- poorly explains the Finnish rehabilitation service system and only finds some solutions to guide the patient/client in the use of rehabilitation services.
