Objective

Student expands his perspective by familiarizing himself with food marketing and food customer behavior in national and international markets. Student then applies his knowledge and understanding to an international project in his own professional field.

Content

-Challenges of Finnish food export in international markets
-Finnish food consumer versus European food consumer

Ekström Karin M. (2010), Consumer behavior. A Nordic Perspective. Lund: Student litteratur AB (suitable parts)

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Student understands the challenges in international food marketing and the major characteristics in international marketing and Finlands`export. Student knows how to take advantage of her/his knowledge in own development project.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Student masters the special characteristics in international food marketing and customer behaviour in our most important market areas well. She/he is able to analyze and validate the arguments in adapting the knowledge in a development project work.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Student masters the area of international food marketing and customer behaviour extraordinary well and she/he is able to analyze and validate the arguments in a versatile way in adapting the knowledge in a development project. Student shows ability to adapt creatively and widely her/his knowledge in the development of own professional area.
