Objective
Students become familiar with nutrition education as part of health promotion. Students improve their educational skills in nutrition and are able to use versatile teaching methods and materials. Students become familiar with the realm of the media with emphasis on the use of media as a communication channel for nutritional issues and they are competent in writing about field-related topics in the media. They are able to assess the reliability of nutrition information and apply it.

The student is familiar with the principles of nutrition education. The student knows occasionally how to search reliable nutrition information sources. The student can name and give the examples of the realm of the media with emphasis on the use of newspapers as a communication channel for nutritional issues.
The student is familiar with some principles how to write about nutrition topics in the media.

The student is familiar with the principles of nutrition education. The student is able to search reliable nutrition information sources and to use them. The student is familiar with the realm of the media with emphasis on the use of newspapers as a communication channel for nutritional issues. The student is competent in writing about nutrition topics in the media.

The student is familiar with the principles of nutrition education and knows how to promote nutrition issues in the working environment. The student is familiar with reliable nutrition information sources and is able to use them. The student is able to analyze the realm of the media with emphasis on the use of media as a communication channel for nutritional issues.
