Objective
ETHICAL COMPETENCE, WORKING COMMUNITY COMPETENCE, DECISION-MAKING COMPETENCE
Students are able to manage themselves in a responsible way as members of the working community and different networks. Students are able to recognize phenomena pertaining to management and leadership.
WORKING COMMUNITY COMPETENCE AND INNOVATION COMPETENCE
Students know the laws and norms pertaining to working life and are able to apply them in their work as employees and team managers. Students know the basics of quality work and are able to apply the methods of quality management when developing their own work and the work community from the viewpoints of cost-effectiveness, processes, persons and clientship.
Content
Labour legislation and norms. Collective labour agreement. Main concepts of leadership and management. Evaluation of effectiveness in the organisation. Concepts of quality management/assurance in health care and social work. Patient security plan and quality management plan.

- observe worklife legislation and norms contructively and critically
- evaluate and critically apply quality assurance methods to develop their work and working community
- can argue for and make conclusions concerning needs for quality assurance and patient safety in nursing organizations
