Teaching methods
The course is completed as an online study module via the Moodle learning platform. It is carried out independently and in small groups during the designated implementation period. Participation in scheduled online meetings is required:
Course introduction session: Monday, October 20, 14:30–16:00
Course mini-seminars: Monday, December 15, 12:30–16:00
The Moodle learning platform for the course opens two weeks before the course begins. During this time, students are expected to familiarize themselves with the course assignments and schedule. In addition, each student selects a small group based on their specific area of interest.
During the course, students will engage with theoretical materials, complete an online exam and course assignments, and prepare a seminar project including peer evaluations, following the provided instructions.
The course requires independent study, self-direction, and careful time management.
Student workload
The workload of the study is designed so that one credit corresponds to an average of 27 hours of student work to achieve the learning objectives. The actual time required varies individually, e.g., due to prior knowledge.

The student
- can recognize the basics of exercise physiology as part of the athlete's sport-specific training
- can incompletely explain the basics of motor learning in learning and teaching skills
- is not able to classify physical requirements and load factors for different sports
- can recognize sport-specific methods for measuring and testing the physical performance of an athlete
- can implement a sport performance analysis with guidance and needs support in choosing and planning appropriate ways to support the athlete's physical performance
Assessment criteria, good (3)
The student
- Partially understands the basics of exercise physiology as part of the athlete's sport-specific training
- Can explain the basics of motor learning in learning and teaching skills
- Can partially classify physical requirements and load factors for different sports
- Can to some extent choose sport-specific methods for measuring and testing the athlete's physical performance
