Content scheduling
The course includes individual written learning tasks and discussions on topics with other students taking the course in the Moodle discussion area. Topics change weekly within the total time allocated for the Course. The main assessment criterion is the assessed written task, which is completed in pairs as the final stage of the course.
The study requires independent work and planning of the schedule.
                    
Objective
Students are able to define key theories and definitions of social work. Students are able to explain the role of social work in society.  They are able to describe the scope of responsibilities for Bachelors of Social Services and analyse their significance in the overall system of social field services. Students are able to describe the need of and importance for social work within the scope of their future professional role. They know how to examine the association between social work and sustainable development. Students also examine their professional interests in the fields of social work.

Teaching methods
This is an Online course, that includes independent learning and assignments on social work.
The course Orientation will take place via Teams at the time marked in the schedule.
Orientation is not saved. Otherwise, the study will be completed online in the Moodle learning environment. The course includes written learning tasks to be completed as individual assignments and discussions on topics with other students taking the course in the Moodle discussion area.
The assessed written assignment, which forms the main assessment criterion, is completed in pairs.The student familiarizes herself with the theoretical material and completes the online assignments weekly according to the instructions given. The study requires independent work and planning of the schedule.
                    
Employer connections
This course doesn´t include practical training. Students visit virtual to social work field via the Internet.
                    
Exam schedules
The written assignment, which forms the main evaluation basis, is the last step of the course.

Student can choose whether to study in contact teaching or online.

Student´s work: 78hours.
The course orientation will be organized via Teams at a time to be announced. 
Within the course implementation period, it is recommended to always complete the learning assignments for each week during the week in which the topic is being discussed, because the course is also based on collaborative learning and the sharing and construction of knowledge. Within the total course implementation period, minor deviations in the weekly assignment completion schedule due to the student's own time planning do not prevent the course from being approved.

They know how to explain the concept and objectives of social work and describe various theories and approaches in social work. Students can also list responsibilities of Bachelors of Social Services. They are able to name links between social field work and sustainable development. Students can explain their professional interests in the social field.

Students are able to define the concept and objectives of social work. They are also able to examine various approaches in social work, comparing them with most essential theoretical orientations of social work. Students can justify the expertise of Bachelors of Social Services in various responsibilities in social work and in the social field. They are able to examine the association between social field work and sustainable development. Students also examine their professional interests in the social field
                    
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
Students are able to extensively define the concept and objectives of social work and analyse various approaches in social work, paying attention to the most essential theoretical orientations of social work. Students can extensively justify the expertise of Bachelors of Social Services in various responsibilities in social work and in the social field. They are able to analyse the association between social field work and sustainable development. Students also examine and justify their professional interests in the social field
