Objective

Upon completing the course, the student will be able to:

Define the research problem: Identify and define a relevant and significant research problem that addresses current challenges and needs in the field.
Select research methods: Choose and justify appropriate research methods and strategies that support solving the research problem.
Conduct a literature review: Perform a literature review and critically analyze previous research in the context of the research problem.
Develop a research plan: Create a comprehensive and realistic research plan that includes the research objectives, methods, timeline, and resources.
Consider ethical aspects: Identify and consider the ethical aspects of the research and ensure the ethical conduct of the study.
Project management: Apply project management principles and tools in the planning and execution of the research project.
Reporting and communication: Prepare a clear and coherent research report and present the research plan and its results both orally and in writing.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Pass: The student prepares and presents an approved research/development plan that follows the learning aims. The student participates in a joint seminar and provides feedback on other development plans.

Failed: The student does not participate in the presentation of the development work. The student does not prepare an acceptable research/development plan.
