Objective

After completing the course, the student:
- can explain the physiology of stress
- can list the factors that influence the regulation of stress and emotions
- can explain the importance of recovery and rest for health and well-being
- can identify ways to increase concentration and resilience
- recognise the state and changes in their own body and mind

- Online independent study with Moodle learning platform, online lectures/podcasts,
mid-term assignments and a Moodle Exam

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

An approved performance requires completing the course assignments and the exam according to the schedule.

Acceptance criteria,
Student:
Can tell about factors related to an individual`s workload and stress, as well as the physiology of stress. The students can list key factors affecting the regulation of stress and emotions and name things that are essential for recovery and rest. The student knows how to name ways to increase concentration and resilience. The student recognizes the state of his own body and mind and the changes that appear in them, and can name some regulation means to balance the functioning of the nervous system.

Criteria for failed performance, student:
Cannot adequately explain the factors associated with individual stress and stress and the physiology of stress. The student is not able to list sufficiently the main factors influencing stress and emotion regulation and to identify issues relevant to recovery and rest. Students cannot identify ways to increase concentration and resilience. Lack of recognition of the state of the body and mind and the changes that occur in them, and inability to identify ways of regulating the nervous system in order to balance its functioning.
