Objective
The student is able to discuss with a pregnant family breastfeeding and the importance of starting breastfeeding. He/ she can guide and support a mother and family for successful breastfeeding or, if necessary, guide and support a non-breastfeeding mother.
Content
Baby Feedback Program and WHO / Unicef Global Strategy for Feeding Infants. Breastfeeding Interaction Skills. Breastfeeding during pregnancy. Protection of breastfeeding. Maternity management practices and breastfeeding. Breast anatomy and physiology, and milk secretion and regulation. Suction product and effective sucking, amounts of milk. Assistance in breastfeeding. Breastfeeding policies. Characteristics of the child and mother. Breast care and possible breast and breast problems. Breastfeeding support.
