Objective
Participants are able to.
- determine the meaning of good nutrition for health and well-being
- describe nutritional challenges in Finland and know means how to influence them
- draw conclusions about the effects of public food services and their decision-making on people's health
- describe the social and cultural meaning of food
- describe the nutritional policy in their municipality/region, and are able to develop it and its implementation, follow-up and evaluation.

Pass
Students are able to define the meaning of nutrition for health and well-being. They are able to name essential nutritional challenges in Finland and, giving reasons for their ideas, to introduce means of influencing the situation. Students can introduce Finnish nutritional recommendations, master their essential content, and are able to discuss them while arguing for and justifying his opinions. They are able to draw conclusions about the nutritional policy as presented in strategies and local welfare reports, define development needs, expertly justify their choices and analyse the meaning of the choices. Besides health, students understand other aspects related to food and nutrition.
Fail
Student do not achieve the learning outcomes defined for the course and are not able to demontrate their competence in the outcomes.
