Objective

After the course the student
- will know the basics of the publishing business and the production and distribution network
- has command of the principles and methods for forming and developing collections
- will know how to evaluate collections

Content

- publishing activities and production of publications and distribution networks: book material, magazines, sound recording and image documents, electronic publications
- the various stages of work with library collections
- organizing collections for customer use
- collection quality and evaluation
