Objective
- The student understands the link between a single project and the strategy of the company, as well as the whole set of projects of the company.
- The student can create a project portfolio and understand its purpose and use.
- The student will be able to manage the processes involved in the creation of a project.
- The student will be aware of the advantages and opportunities of a Project Management Office (PMO).
- The student will be familiar with the maturity models for project work and be able to use them.
Content
- Project management from a strategic perspective
- National and international standards and baselines and their relevance as a reference framework for strategic project competence and project management planning and implementation at the enterprise level.
- Project Management Office (PMO) and project implementation policies and guidelines, i.e. the project manual
- Maturity models (e.g., IPMA Delta, CMMI, P2MM, P3M3) and their use
- Project portfolio management
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
The student understands satisfactorily the link between the projects as a whole and the strategy of the company. He/she can build a project portfolio, understand its purpose, and use and can manage the processes involved in creating a project satisfactorily. The student is aware of the benefits and opportunities of project management and has a satisfactory understanding and use of project maturity models.
