Students understand the meaning of quantitative research and are to apply it to research and development activities.

Content

Research designs, concepts and theoretical frameworks.
Quantitative data, their analysis and interpretation.
Research ethics in quantitative research.

Student recognizes the principles and stages of quantitative research. Student recognizes ethical principles in research.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Student compares types of quantitative research and selects quantitative methods that are suitable for the research objectives. Student selects suitable and ethically strong quantitative methods.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Student evaluates critically types of quantitative research and makes use of various quantitative research methods. Student uses suitable quantitative methods in ethically strong way.
