For a student who is interested in the banking sector, a mentor searched among banking professionals etc. If the student’s interests and needs are not clear, they will get an experienced mentor to get a clearer picture of their own field.
Students will get their own mentor who has at least 3 years of work experience. Through the mentoring program, the student can grow their working life network. The student can ask their mentor about work, job searching, writing a CV, career, education opportunities etc.
Content
The idea of the mentoring is old and simple; a more experienced person shares expertise and knowledge to a less experienced person. Mentoring is talking between the mentor and the student: encouraging and sharing experiences. Student can ask their mentor about working life, job searching, writing a CV, career, education opportunities etc. Mentors can tell about their own experiences and success, but also about the possible setbacks. The student gets an experienced conversational partner and has the right to ask, wonder and think about e.g. uncertainties related to working life.
Mentoring is pair work supported by three common meetings and smaller meetings. The purpose of the meetings is to network with other participants as well as share experiences and ideas with other mentor partners.
