Objective

Students understand the principles of qualitative research and know how to apply them to practical research and development activities.

Research designs in qualitative research, qualitative data and methods of analysis. Concepts, the theoretical framework and research ethics in qualitative research.

Students can describe the principles of qualitative research and name research ethical principles.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Students are able to compare types of qualitative research and select methods that are ethically sound and suitable for the research objectives.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Students are able to critically evaluate types of qualitative research and make use of various qualitative research methods in an ethically sound manner.
