The student knows the principles of massive timber production processes. The student knows the repair methods of a log building.
Competence in structural engineering
The student understands the special characteristics of massive timber as construction material. The student understands the leading principles of planning and dimensioning of log and CLT structures.

In addition to the abilities above, the student has a comprehensive idea of log and CLT construction. They are able to apply their knowledge in specific problems of massive timber construction and to give reasons for their solutions in a logical manner.
