Objective

The student acknowledges the strategic importance of sustainable procurement and its alignment with organisational goals. The student comprehends how the changing regulatory environment influences the competitive landscape within the context of procurement. The student acknowledges procurement-relevant sustainability frameworks, mechanisms and reporting directives, e.g. Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) and Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) of the European Union. The student is able to identify and assess strategies to reduce Scope 3 emissions. The student acknowledges the critical role of suppliers in achieving sustainability goals and is able to identify and address sustainability challenges within the supply chain and foster collaborative partnerships for development. The student is able to develop effective supplier codes of conduct and sustainability reporting mechanisms. The student is able to conduct sustainability audits to assess supplier performance and identify areas for improvement.
