Objective

The aim of the course is to strengthen students' expertise in digitalization in the social and health care sector. After completing the course, you will be able to You will be able to analyze digitalization as a phenomenon in social and health care operating environments at the national, international, and local levels. You are able to critically analyze and evaluate the opportunities, limitations, and ethical dimensions associated with the use of digital methods in your own area of expertise You will be able to apply and combine relevant research data on digitalization-related themes to the development of the social and health care sector. You will be able to examine the development of social and health care services, taking into account the principles of sustainable development and digital inclusion. You will be able to assess the importance of cyber security, information security, and data protection in social and health services and take digital security into account in the development of social and health services. You will be able to anticipate and solve complex challenges related to the digital operating environment in an innovative manner and in accordance with the principles of sustainable development. You will understand artificial intelligence as a technology and its role in future social and health services. You will be able to critically assess and analyze issues and competence needs related to artificial intelligence in your own field. There is no exam. The renewal of coursework is done in accordance with the examination regulations.

Completion alternatives

The course can be completed flexibly. Participation in webinars is voluntary. For all webinars, a lecture recording is available as an option. The course portfolio can be worked on either alone or with a partner.
