Objective
Students will be competent in making finite element models for bar structures. They will be capable of solving displacements and internal forces of a bar structure by the finite element method.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
The student is able to form a balance equation group between nodal forces in the case of simple bar structures.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
The student is a able to apply the finite element model of bar structures to solve the stress and displacement states of different bar, lattice and frame structures.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
The student is a able to apply very well the finite element model of bar structures to solve the stress and displacement states of different bar, lattice and frame structures.
