Objective

The student is able to
- use classification systems needed for the structuration and description of knowledge, ontologies, description rules and the format required for information storage
- make basic-level descriptions of library materials
- interpret materials description solutions found in databases
- use the terminology of description

- tools of content description: classification and indexing systems
- instructions for bibliographic description
- the format for the storage of bibliographic data
