Objective

The objective is to strengthen the skills in designing wood structures. The student can perform the stability (buckling and transverse buckling) and the dimensioning of overall strutting of a building in accordance with the Euro codes. The student can the dimensioning robust wood structures and timber joints and definen a fire classification. The objevtive is to reach the qualification AA in designing wood structures.

Content

Dimensioning stresses in accordance with the Euro codes. Buckling and tranverse buckling. Overall strutting of abuilding. Joints. Fire classification.

Materials

Euro codes and their national instructions where applicable. The teacher´s own material.

Teaching methods

Blended learning, lectures and design assignments.
