Objective
Students are able to define e-business concepts. Students learn how a company or other organisation is able to step up its activities by means of e-business. Students are familiar with the main business models, enabling the company to develop and expand their business to the Internet. Students are able to recognize and classify the most important e-business information systems. Students are aware of e-business security risks.

Teaching methods
Opintojakso suoritetaan kokonaan verkossa Moodlea käyttäen. Moodlessa on opiskelumateriaali ja oppimistehtävät, joita tehdään tietyn aikataulun mukaan. Opiskelussa hyödynnetään myös blogityökalua. Kurssin päätteeksi tehdään tentti Moodlessa.
Exam schedules
Tentti tehdään Moodlessa kurssin lopussa. Uusintamahdollisuus on noin kaksi viikkoa varsinaisen tentin jälkeen.

Students are able to define e-business and e-core of basic concepts. The student is able to name the most important business models. Students are able to list the most important online business information systems. Students are familiar with online business information security risks.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
Students are able to identify and characterize the underlying network services business models. Students are able to list and describe the most important online business information systems. Students are able to list and describe the security risks of online business and know the ways to prevent them.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
Students are able to assess how a company or other organization is able to step up its activities by means of e-business. Students are able to apply different business models for a variety of online services. The student knows the most important online business information systems and is able to assess their suitability. Students are familiar with online business information security risks and know how to prevent them.
