Objective
The aim of the course is to provide students with basic knowledge and skills in the principles and methods involved in project work. Upon competition of the course, students will be competent in:
- analysing prevailing needs for changes in a company or organisation.
- generating initial project ideas.
- creating a project plan and itemizing the quality and quantity of resources.
- utilising their skills in leadership and management.
- applying social skills within and between different project groups.
- assessing different project plans and evaluating both the risks and possibilities pertaining to the success of the project in question.

- Project preparation, planning, and implementation, decision-making
- Principles and procedures of project work
- Project organisation and operations
- Time, resource and cost management in project planning
- Special features of projects carried out in the Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
Satisfactory (1...2): The student knows and understands to a basic concepts and methods of topics, and is able to apply them to usual problems.
Good (3...4): The student is familiar with the concepts and methods of topics, and is able to apply them to different types of problems. The student is able to combine the accumulated knowledge and skills with previous experiences in the subject.
Excellent (5): The student is familiar with the concepts and methods of topics, and is able to apply them to a variety of different problems. The student has demonstrated creativity and innovation, and is able to find new meanings when applying what they have learned.
