Objective

Students will recognise the role of home and family care as part of services that support the wellbeing and health of older people. Students will learn to analyse the meaning of multi-professional home care. They will know how to evaluate skills and knowledge required in supervision of home care. They will identify the possibilities and challenges of family care.

Teaching methods

Opintojaksolla opiskelijat työskentelevät pienryhmissä kahden teeman ympärillä. Teemat orientoidaan kontaktitunneilla ja sen jälkeen seuraa itsenäinen tiedonhankinta-- ja työskentelyvaihe. Ryhmätyöt puretaan kahdessa eri teemaseminaarissa.

Student workload

Opiskelijan työmäärä on 80 t, joista kontaktitunteja 34-36t, itsenäistä ryhmässä tapahtuvaa tiedonhankintaa, mahdollisia työntekijöiden ja asiakkaiden haastatteluja, kirjoittamista ja ryhmätehtävän esittelyn valmistelua.

Students are able to describe implementation practices in home and family care.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Students know how to compare implementation practices, possibilities and challenges in home and family care.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Students know how to analyse and evaluate the role of home and family care in services that support the health and wellbeing of older people.
