Development and Management in Elderly Care (5cr)

Objective

Students use multi-disciplinary gerontological knowledge to extend and deepen their competence in care and services of older persons. Students know how to analyse and evaluate current challenges in management and development of care from the perspectives of the older people, staff, organization and provision of services and development and management.

Content

Leadership in services for older people.
Supporting self-determination and customer oriented approach. Challenges in developing and managing care of older persons.

Students know how to describe challenges in the management and development of care and services targeted to older people.

Students are able to compare client-centredness, organization and implementation practices and models in the management and development of care and services for older people.

Students are able to analyse and evaluate client-centredness and provision, organization and implementation of elderly care services in the management and development of elderly care and services.
