Objective

Students will understand economic concepts with agriculture as well as the principles of calculating costs, profit and profitability. They will be competent in obtaining and utilising information based on feasibility studies. Students will understand how important it is to understand the meaning of management in agriculture.

Teaching methods

Kontaktiopetus (50 %), yksilötehtäviä ja ryhmätehtäviä yhteistoiminnallisen oppimisen periaattein sekä muu omatoiminen oppiminen (50 %)

Exam schedules

Opintojakson päättyessä kurssitentti. Hylätyn suorituksen uusintamahdollisuus 3 kertaa rästitenttipäivinä. Jos edelleen suorittamatta, tultava uudelleen opintojaksolle.

Student workload

Oppilaan työtä 134 h, josta 50 % on luokkatyöskentelyä ja 50 % omatoimista oppimista.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student receives a grade of 1 or 2, when he understands the basics of agricultural business in a satisfactory and supervision, able to calculate the income, balance sheet and profitability calculations and understand the MTT Economics PhD basics of farming profitability of the company's accounting satisfactorily.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student understands the basics of agricultural business very well and is able to calculate the income, balance sheet and profitability calculations independently and understand the MTT Economics PhD basics of farming profitability of the company's accounting records as well.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student masters the basics of agricultural business economics very well, and is able to calculate the income, balance sheet and profitability calculations independently and versatile. He understands the MTT Economics PhD or agricultural enterprise profitability bookkeeping
