Teaching methods
Scheduled Independent Online Course:
The student familiarizes themselves with the theoretical material and completes online tasks according to the given instructions. The course requires independent work and schedule planning.
The course does not include joint meetings or pair/group work.
Completion alternatives
The methods of completion are described in more detail in the Moodle learning environment.
- Independently completed learning tasks and discussions on the Moodle online platform.
Student workload
Student workload: initial orientation 1 hour (online and recorded) and 51 hours of independent online study.

Students will recognise the difference between everyday knowledge and scientific knowledge and the importance of scientific knowledge in development work. They can explain the stages of the research process and identify the different stages of reporting. The student will have a good command of basic concepts related to research. They will recognise quantitative and qualitative research approaches and the difference between them in theory and in practice. Students will be able to define the basic characteristics of ethically sustainable research and understand its importance in research work.
