Strategic management (SM) course focuses on the concept of strategy formulation and implementation
Basic of strategic Management, 
Mision, vision, principles, 
External analisis (Porter, Swot, Competitive matrix, world tends), 
Internal Analisis (REsource base view, competitive advantage, Value chain, Internal factor matrix, 
Marketing *Value creation, innovation, value proposition, business models,  
Generic strategics *16, Michael porter 5, Blue Ocean, other strategies, 
Quantitative Strategic Planning matrix  (QSPM), 
Balanced Score Cards.
                    
Objective
Students know the strategic management process and the most important methodologies used in strategic planning. They also can execute the methodologies using case studies.
Students can apply advanced Strategic management such as Competitive Matrix, Michael Porter's Five Industry Forces, QPSM (Quantitative Planning Strategic Matrix), and Balanced Score Card tools to a specific project.

Students can apply analytical Thinking to develop a full strategic Business Plan for a new strategic Business Unit.
                    
Content
The methodologies of strategic management, the typical steps of the strategic process chain: strategic analysis, conceptualization and strategic control,  theory and in practice to instruments such as environmental scans, early warning systems, core competence analysis, SWOT, portfolio analysis, life-cycle analysis, blue ocean methodology, and balanced scorecard.

The guide book is: Strategic Management Concepts and Cases. By Fred David, Prentice Hall
                    
Teaching methods
The class will use various teaching methods, Lectures, reading guide book, case solving, presentations, class discussions, survey tools. Some of the methods are:

The class will have 12 sessions of 2 hours. and 60 hrs. of personal study and team work.
