Objective

The student
- is able to apply the knowledge of pharmacology in everyday nursing.
- knows the basics of the effects and use of different drugs in different patient groups (elderly, patients with renal impairment and hepatic impairment).
- knows what to consider when administering medication, taking into account medication safety (medication deviations and risk drugs).
- knows the basics of drug abuse and toxicology.

Arviointi perustuu verkkoluentojen katsomiseen, kyselytunnille osallistumiseen ja annettujen kotitehtävien hyväksyttyyn suorittamiseen

Opiskelija
- osallistuu kurssille ja suorittaa hyväksytysti annetut tehtävät
- tietää perusteet eri lääkkeiden vaikutuksista ja käytöstä eri potilasryhmillä (iäkkäät, munuaisten vajaatoiminta- ja maksan vajaatoimintapotilaat)
- tietää mitä pitää huomioida lääkehoitoa toteuttaessa lääkitysturvallisuus huomioiden (lääkityspoikkeamat ja riskilääkkeet)
- tietää perusteet lääkkeiden väärinkäytöstä ja toksikologiasta
