Objective

Competence in the construction process
Students are able to read blueprints of building engineering. Students recognize most typical building installations and know their selection criteria. Students perceive the role of building engineering in the construction process and in the building's maintenance.

- Symbols used in the blueprints for building engineering
- Most typical HVAC, electrical and fire safety systems.
- Consideration of Building Installations on construction sites
- When choosing devices, efficiency and energy efficiency must be considered
- Taking building technical services into account on a site
- Municipal engineering services
- Construction site visits

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student knows the basics of building engineering. The student knows the symbols used in blueprints and understands the importance of building engineering in a construction project.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student is able to read technical building blueprints related to new construction and renovation. The student is able to take the requirements of building engineering into account in building.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

In addition to the abilities above, the student masters well and is able to apply what they have learned. They can also analyze the connections between different things. The student can make diversified analyses and draw conclusions based on what they have learned.
