Objective
Occupational and environmental safety in construction
Students appreciate the existing body of buildings and the built environment.
Competence in repair construction
Students are able to determine why repair is needed and to list typical deficiencies in and damages of buildings from different eras. Students can produce a condition assessment report or repair plan for a renovation project chosen by themselves. They also know how to read old drawings and repair drawings.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
Students have the basic knowledge of repair construction, yet possibly with some minor imperfections. They know the damage of the key structural components and the repair methods as well as the different methods of construction of different epochs.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
Students have the basic knowledge of repair construction and know the key working methods as well as the different methods of construction and structures of different epochs. They master the most common stress factors, types of damage, and the repair methods .They know the changing effects of conditions on structures and the risks caused by them. They are able to make commonly used analyses and draw conclusions based on basic information.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
In addition to the abilities above, students have a good command of what they have learned and are able to apply it.
