GYNECOLOGICAL NURSING & FAMILY PLANNING: Reproductive health at different stages of woman’s lifespan, the most common examinations and procedures performed at the outpatient clinic, breast self-examination, family planning, STD’s, early pregnancy disorders, inducted abortion, infertility, sexual violence, tumors, endometriosis, the most common gynecological procedures, ageing woman
MATERNITY HEALTH: Normal pregnancy, pregnancy at risk, birth / emergency birth, postpartum period, newborn, breastfeeding.
Objective
The student
- knows the different dimensions of sexuality and is aware of the importance of sexuality for human well-being.
- is able to discuss sexuality in different client and counselling situations in nursing.
- knows the legislation and ethical principles of maternity and gynaecological nursing.
- is familiar with the principles and specific features of gynaecological nursing and knows the most common sexual health examination and treatment procedures.
- has knowledge of the normal course and monitoring of pregnancy, childbirth and puerperium and understands the health-promoting role of breastfeeding.
- can use evidence-based knowledge in the care of gynaecological patients and family expecting baby.
