- What sells now, and how do I market a film production?
- Financing and economics of the Finnish film industry
- Target audience and age limits
- Budgeting and contracts
- How to start a film project
- Treatment, pitch deck and refining the idea
- Pitching to a production company

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student is able to:
- list the actors of the domestic film scene
- identify the financing channels of domestic film
- present the idea of a film or series production

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student is able to:
- list the actors in the domestic film scene
- apply the use of financing channels for domestic film
- present a credible idea for a film or series production
- explain the successes and failures of actors in the film industry

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student is able to:
- list the actors in the domestic film scene
- apply the use of financing channels for domestic film
- present a credible idea for a film or series production
- explain the successes and failures of actors in the film industry
- analyse the sales and marketing channels of a film

Further information

The course can be integrated as a workshop course. Lectures are generally held face-to-face on Wednesday afternoons from 12.15 to 16.00.
