Content

The two-stage Finnish Championships of Project Work is organised in cooperation with the Association of Project Professionals (Projektiammattilaiset ry, PRY). The competition is open to all degree students of SeAMK. The team size is 3-4 persons, and the competition is held between teams from different educational institutions. Both universities and universities of applied sciences are involved. Participants in the final must be under 35 years of age, but students over 35 years of age may also participate in the qualifying round.

During the qualification phase, students from participating institutions will answer online 100 multiple-choice questions on project management, project business and leadership. The qualifying questions are aimed at people with little or no experience in project management. Knowledge alone is therefore sufficient at this stage. The questions are in English, so participants are expected to have a reasonable command of English. The questions will be answered within the time limit (100 minutes). The qualification stage will be awarded 1 credit if the group gets more than 50% correct in the multiple-choice questions.

One team from each institution will be selected to represent that organisation in the qualifying round, based on the results of the pre-selection. The best teams in the qualifying rounds will go through to the final competition in Helsinki in the spring, where an extra 1 credit can be awarded. The final competition consists of a case study, which is a multifaceted, real-life case study. SeAMK will cover the travel and accommodation costs of the participants in accordance with the general travel rules of the University of Applied Sciences.
