Objective
Upon completion of the course, students will be competent in making computer-aided drawings of wiring diagrams used in the field of automation.

- Using the CADS Planner designing programme
- Drawing a principle diagram and a wiring diagram using appropriate software

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
The student knows and understands to a satisfactory extent the basic concepts of electric cad , and is able to draw basic level main circuits, control circuits and panel layouts and apply them to usual electrical design.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
The student is familiar with the concepts of electric cad , and is able to draw different types of main circuits, control circuits and panel layouts and is able to apply them to electrical de-sign.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
The student is familiar with the concepts and methods of electric cad, and is able to apply them to a variety of different types of electrical design.
