Objective
The student deepens their understanding of the factors that influence human behavior. The student practices analyzing extreme phenomena in their social contexts. The student becomes acquainted with the research tradition of explaining evil.
Content
Getting to know the different scientific perspectives from which human evil has been examined. Examples of extreme evil and the background of phenomena. Narcissism and other personality disorders as explanations of evil. Demonstration of attempts to understand genocide. School shooters. International terrorism, ISIS. Evil manifested in fairy tales.

Teaching methods
Contact teaching. Teams links or audio tracks will be send only in exceptional cases. The lectures will be held at Kampustalo on the following evenings from 17:00 to 20:30: 28 May. 29.5 30.5. 4.6 5.6. and 6.6.
The student must prepare a learning diary on the topics of the lecture, in which he or she reflects freely on the subjects studied. In addition, the student must prepare a small presentation on the discussion board about a theme related to the studied subjects that interests him.
Student workload
Lectures 24 hours. Preparation of learning diary and presentation 57 hours.
