Objective

The student observes the events in the field during the spring period of growing season. The student identifies the most important weeds and blossoming wild plants. The student learns to know the development phases of plants and nature's valuable environmental aspects. The student is aware of the factors which affect crop formation and the quality of the crop and can estimate the quality of the different stages of crop farming and the factors which affect it.

The student is able to describe the technology used for sowing, especially from the point of view of measuring instruments, control systems and measures that focus on cultivation.

The student is able to give examples of companies that are developing the area efficiently and are environmentally friendly.

Content

Sowing the plants on field trials
Identify crops and weeds on the field
Growth stages, yield components and soil quality on field
Drones in precision plant production
Yield mapping and utilization of penetrometer in defining management zones
Identify grasses and legumes of grasslands.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

The student collects and identifies weeds, independently and knows the phases of development of cultivated plants. The student can conclude factors, which affect the crop development and the quality of the crop. The student can justify the technology, which is used in the cultivation.
