Objective

The content and aims of this course are defined depending on what matters(s) in the cultural field are topical at the time of the implementation and what competencies the students express they need.
Can also be implemented based on a commission or in connection with the thesis.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Student be able to:
- explain what is meant by trend
- name a few current trends in the cultural sector
- satisfactorily analyze the causal relationships of trends

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Student be able to:
- explains the multidimensional meaning of the trend
- showcase current trends in the cultural sector
- analyze the causal relationships of trends

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Student be able to:
- explains the multidimensional meaning of the trend
- classify topical trends in the cultural sector
- interpret the causal relationships of trends

Assessment methods and criteria

2 cr Group work (max. three people). Students will prepare a presentation/presentation of one lesson (approx. 45 min.) on a trend of interest to them. The lesson should be as interactive as possible, so that the other students in the class can join in the discussion. Assessment: 1-5
1 ECTS Examination based on previously assigned literature Assessment: 1-5
2 EC Written assignment (5-7 pages) Assessment 1-5

The student understands the meaning of a trend
The student outlines some current trends in the cultural sector
The student is able to analyse satisfactorily the cause and effect relationships of trends

The student understands the multidimensional meaning of a trend
The student has a clear understanding of current trends in the cultural sector
The student is able to analyse the cause and effect relationships of trends well.

The student has an in-depth understanding of the multidimensional meaning of a trend
The student has a clear overview of trends and their significance in society.
The student is able to analyse in depth the cause and effect relationships of trends.
