Objective
Students will understand economic concepts with agriculture as well as the principles of calculating costs, profit and profitability. They will be competent in obtaining and utilising information based on feasibility studies. Students will understand how important it is to understand the meaning of management in agriculture.

Lectures, single and group tasks with the principles of co-operative learning.
Student workload
5*26,7 hours = 134 hours, of which 50% is lessons and 50% independent learning.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
The student receives a grade of 1 or 2, when he understands the basics of agricultural business in a satisfactory and supervision, able to calculate the income, balance sheet and profitability calculations and understand the MTT Economics PhD basics of farming profitability of the company's accounting satisfactorily.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
The student understands the basics of agricultural business very well and is able to calculate the income, balance sheet and profitability calculations independently and understand the MTT Economics PhD basics of farming profitability of the company's accounting records as well.
