Objective

The student is able to contribute to development, innovation and research processes. He/ she can critically evaluate and use scientific publications. The student can describe common research, development and analytical methods.

Content

Research methods in nursing science. Qualitative and quantitative research methods, action research, inductive and deductive content analysis methods, systematic literature review.

Teaching methods

This is an online-based course.
Seamk students: classroom teaching (2h + 2h+ 4h): lectures and classroom assignments.
Other students: Online course, no classroom teaching.
Online independent study: completing assignments, preparing for lessons, reading materials and literature.

The course does not include practical training in working life.

The course includes learning tasks that can be completed online independently during the course. An exam at the end of the course.
