Objective

Student has skills for the introduction of a research-based approach and new working methods in the work community. Student is able to collect data and becomes acquainted with the most recent national and international research data on the field of business and administration. Student is able to deepen critical thinking and problems solving skills. Student finds the problem to be solved independently and is able to assess the functions of the process and the background community. Student is able to plan and manage the development process and evaluate the results objectively.
A Master student is required to take a Maturity Test in case they have not taken one while completing their previous Degrees. Students shall write about a topic related to the thesis, which indicates their knowledge of the topic and language skills. If a student has received their previous education in a language other than Finnish or Swedish, the student takes the Maturity Test in English.

Students must demonstrate that they master the content and the conclusions of their thesis and produce a clear and consistent written presentation.The Maturity Test of the Master Degree can be an essay, a media release, a presentation aimed at working life or an article in a professional journal. Two hours are set aside for writing an essay-form Maturity Test and it is written under the supervision of a teacher or at the EXAM service.
