EASA-legislation, Drone technology, using drones as a hobby and professionately. Using dronedata in agriculture and forestry.

Objective

The student learns the most common uses of drones in agriculture and forestry
• The student learns the basic technical features and components of drones
• The student learns to plan and implement a typical drone using a simulator
the mapping task to be performed
• The student learns to interpret the basics of aerial photos taken with a drone and
of the results of a survey flight in arable farming and forestry

Drone types, drone technology and parts
• drones in agricultural precision farming
• SeAMKin /Ruoka experiment with drones
• Image interpretation in arable farming, e.g. NDVI index
• drones and precision forestry
• Case study: options for acquiring NDVI data in arable farming
