Objective

The student can perform practical tasks in his/her field of study under guidance and apply the knowledge and skills he/she has acquired to practical situations. The student is able to assess his/her own skills in relation to the requirements of the field. The student is able to conclude whether a topic for his/her final thesis can be found in the context of his/herpractical training placement.

Content

The practical training position must be approved by the degree programme. Practical training can take place either in Finland or abroad. There are specific instructions concerning the content and implementation of practical training.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Pass: the student has carried out practical tasks in his/her field of study under guidance for minimum 720 hours and applied his/her knowledge and skills to practical situations. The student has assessed his/her skills in relation to the requirements of the field and examined the possibility of finding thesis topic in the context of his/her practical training placement. The student has reported the practical training as required.
Fail: The aforementioned criteria are not fulfilled.
