Objective

Students will be able to define the basic concepts of energy and they can list the most important arguments for different energy choices to farm and rural buildings. Students know the basics of renewable energy.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Level 1: Students will be able to use physical quantities in energy technology. They will be able to present most common energy sources suitable for rural buildings. Students will be able to list some essential systems in energy technology and describe their technical features.

Level 3: Students will be able to define the basic concepts of energy and the use of energy. They will be able to describe the properties of different fuel and heating system alternatives for farms and rural buildings. They will also be able to explain the functional principles of equipment associated with energy technology.

Level 5: Students will be able to use the basic concepts of energy and energy technology when they present alternative energy systems for farms and rural buildings. They will also be able to explain the technological processes and equipment associated with nowadays energy technology, such as burning process, heat pumps, solar cells and solar panels, wind power plants.
