Objective
Students improve their communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written skills. They will expand their vocabulary and master the basic structures of Swedish. They will be competent in writing a text that varies in structure. Students will also acquire a positive attitude toward developing their language skills.

Students use simple structures and limited vocabulary in oral and written communication, but mistakes may to some extent disturb understanding. They understand slow and clear speech and quite easy field-related texts and manage reasonably well in familiar everyday situations. Understandable pronunciation.
Students cannot demonstrate their equivalent language skills (recognition of prior learning).

The student uses basic structures and a limited vocabulary in his or her oral and written communication. Errors hamper some comprehensibility. The student understands slow and clear speech and easy professional text and copes with reasonably familiar everyday language use situations. The pronunciation is understandable.
