Objective
The student knows the tasks and operating principles of the most central institutions of Finnish society. The student understands how the obligations and rights set by the citizen's constitutional rights affect the work. The student is familiar with the history of Fnnish society and social policy that the olders persons have personally experienced and is able to discuss the historical events. The student can counsel clients in the most central questions connected to social legislation or social security.

The student is able to counsel clients on issues connected to social legislation and social security.

The student is able to critically examine and reflect on social questions. She or he demonstrates ability to connect individual phenomena to their social background. The student is able to evaluate the state of the Finnish constitutional and welfare state critically.
