Objective

The students are able to identify the international aspects of corporate communication with different stakeholders

- The students are able to find solutions to communication problems in international cases.

- The students know how to develop a strategic plan for international communication in business.

- The students know the meaningful use of the world wide web and social media in international corporate communication.

- The students develop their understanding of the cultural viewpoints on corporate communication

Content

Corporate communication: content and functions, stakeholder management, corporate identity and branding, communication strategy, communication in international business, global and local in communication, role of the internet and social media in corporate communication

Teaching methods

This is an online course consisting of learning assignments that are completed mostly individually. The participants are also expected to comment on each other's submissions. Teaching material is provided in a written form and in video clips.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student carries out the course assignment at a fair level being able to provide some justification for his/her argumentation and showing ability to apply most of the concepts learned to practical examples.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student carries out the course assignments at a solid level being able to give adequate reasons for his/her choices and showing ability to apply the concepts learned to practical examples.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student carries out the course assignments at an excellent level being able to justify his/her argumentation and showing very good ability to apply the concepts learned to practical examples. The student shows perception and creativity in the solutions of tasks.

Assessment is based on the completion of learning assignments and participation in course discussions.
