Objective

Students will learn to
- understand what stages post-production involves
- differentiate between editing formats
- edit a video production using the Avid Media Composer software
- implement primary colour correction on video films
- use sound and image effects at basic level
- evaluate the time spent on post-production in relation to the entire production
- identifie the assignments of the postproduction
? use international postproduction software
? search for information about the postproduction about different sources

Content

The course will discuss the following areas of post-production (also see learning outcomes):
planning post-production
differences between editing formats
Editing in the Avid MC environment
primary colour correction
basic effects

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Grade 1 In relation to the learning outcomes, students have passable skills, knowledge and attitudes. Under supervision, they are able to edit videos.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Grade 3 In relation to the learning outcomes, students have good skills, knowledge and attitudes. They know how to use editing software appropriately.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Grade 5 In relation to the learning outcomes, students have excellents skills, knowledge and attitudes. They are able to independently edit a video production using Avid MC and to creatively use basic image and sound effects.
