Objective

Students

- the student knows the responsibilities and rights of a legal professional
- can explain what a physiotherapeutic examination involves as part of clinical reasoning
- is able to apply the ethical principles of a physiotherapist in his / her profession
- knows what physiotherapy can be measured and what is reliable measurement
- can explain what is meant by evidence-based physiotherapy and
is able to justify with examples the positive results of exercise training in relation to surgical
treatments (perspective of economic sustainable development)
- use scientific and evidence-based knowledge in various physiotherapy situations and is able to use evidence-based information when working in different physiotherapy situations and combines a sustainable development perspective with evidence-based work (eg promoting well-being, health and functional capacity from a social, cultural and economic perspective).
- can search for research and recommendations/guidelines in the field of physiotherapy

- will be able to name and palpate parts of bones in a skeleton and in a human body
- will be able to name and palpate joints and describe their structure and function
- will be able to name muscles and their attachment sites and analyse their function in human mobility
-will know how to measure muscle strength and joint mobility in a reliable and replicable way, using various methods and instruments; will know how to interpret and explain the results
-will know how to measure and analyse positions, movement and mobility using a variety of examination methods

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

- Students know the theoretical model of the physiotherapy process and are partly able to explain its components.
- Students are able to approximately define evidence-based physiotherapy.
-Students know some good practices in physiotherapy, which combine work practices based on evidence and the development of physiotherapy competence and sustainable development.
- Students are able to a limited extent to summarize research articles and partly understand the role of scientific thinking in physiotherapy.
- Students use some of the current national guidelines and physiotherapy recommendations to determine the client's need for therapy
- Following the examination, students are with support able to implement evidence-based therapy based on a plan and evaluate the therapy's success together with the supervisor
- They are able to name and palpate most human musculo-skeletal structures in familiar situations.
-They apply anatomical theoretical knowledge to some extent to assess musculo-skeletal function in various movements.
- With help of instructions, students know how to examine positions, movement and mobility using physiotherapeutic assessment methods and partly how to interpret and explain the results to support clinical reasoning.
